Youth Camp 2010: Registration Forms

Registration for Youth Camp 2010 is officially open! TMC PJ members can register at the Youth Camp booth on Sundays, or submit the registration forms along with the payment to Dion or Denise on Saturdays during MYF.

The camp fee is RM 120 for early birds (By 28th Feb), and RM 130 (After 28th Feb). Registration ends 7th March 2010. So hurry up and register! Remember to invite your friends!

25 july 2009-MOVIE with orphanage kids!!!!

Hey guys,

MYF will be bringing orphanage kids to watch a movie on 25th JULY 2009. The show that we are watching is..............

: ICE AGE 3!!!..the show starts at 7 but we will be having dinner in church with them first. Meet in church for dinner with them at 5pm sharp!!!


Because we are watching the movie in a cinema, i would need to know exactly who is coming. If you are coming can you please email me to let me know@ becky476@hotmail.com or sms me @ 012-3225019.

All MYFers invited. Another important thing is i need everyone to bring food for the dinner. Can you please let me know what food you are bringing. I need to know all these and get your RSVP BEFORE 15 JULY 2009. Any date after that, i will not entertain!!

Visitation: Aunty Esther

Hey.

Just to update everyone on her condition, aunty Esther has been admitted into a nursing home for physical rehab as she cannot walk at the moment.

We are planning a trip to go see her tomorrow during MYF time, that means 6pm, 4 July 2009. You can bring stuff if you want to give to her. That would be sweet.

The home is near her house; its called Impressive Nursing Home (or something like that).

Please do come. She really has been missing us =)

Play for Fun

to all who are going to Play for Fun, if you need transport please feel free to sms your name to Khong Mei-Yan @ 012-3271179. Do this ASAP so that we are able to arrange transport for you.



besides that, please be on time on Sunday, we start at 2pm sharp! we are on tight schedule and if you are not there you will miss your game=). Dress appropriate for sports, SPORT SHOES, girls try not to wear short shorts. Bring water if you don't wanna buy it there k=) i think thats about it.

2. Pastor Phillip Lyn - Power Prayer Seminar, Meekness and Majesty - 17th-18th July 2009 - RM 20 per person

3. TMC PJ 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner - 22nd August 2009 - RM 25 per person


(2) and (3) are compulsory for all MYFers in support of our church activities.

The closing date is this Saturday (20th June 2009). Anyone who does not sign up before this Saturday will be charged RM50! =) If you really cant make it, please let me know your reasons. Thanks.

Hey guys, this saturday, we will be celebrating father's day with our dads=) Please invite all your fathers to come for MYF.



The activities are worship then carrom, table tennis, board games and maybe captain ball. It is a chance for fathers and kids to bond while playing=)...Please invite your fathers.. Everyone else is invited though.. We will have dinner after that as well..




btw, i need people to bring board games, table tennis racquets as well as food. If any of you can provide any of these please sms me=)

Scripture Reading Workshop

Hey guys, there will be a Scripture Reading workshop this Saturday (6 Jun 2009) 9.30am – 12.30pm. It is conducted by Rev. Yong Wai Yin who is the chairman of TRAC Board of Worship and Music to facilitate the interactive workshop. It will be good if all MYFers could make it.

Please be in church by 9.15am so that we can get settled in and start at 9.30am.

MYF Sunday – A Word Of Thanks

HEY! YAY! Thumbs Up to everyone who was involved in MYF Sunday! What a day it turned out to be =) Everything just fell into place!

To ALL MYFers. you guys did such a great job, each and every one of you =) From the worship team, led by our very own worship coordinator, Mr TAN, Jason...who formed his team, chose songs, schedule practices, and is so committed. His team, pianist, Isabel and Weng Yee, Drummer, Gabriel! (you did so well =)....cunted =)...), guitarist - Ee Rick and Jason, bassist - Mike S, and the voices, Denissssssssse, Sssarah and Hash! (you guys were great=) time to join choir...hahahaha)

The Greeting and Ushering team, Yuen Xin, Ryan, Shaun Benjamin and Dion Lee! The 4 of you had to smile to everyone...haha great job...you standing at the door before service is the first sign for the congregation to see that the youths are involved! Good job there! Mei-Yan, Lauren, and Kimmie, thanks for going out talking to the youths and encouraging them to come for MYF...giving out the cards and all...you guys did perfect =)

The PA team, Ian Lam, Khong Mei-Yan, and Noel J! you did well with the handling of the sound system, the microphones, the many many many videos, practically everything that has to do with sound and visual you handed so well =) thumbs up =)

The Sketch team, great job, thanks to your sketch, a clear message was sent out to all!, great actors all of you were! main actor: Zhi Wei, crew: Michelle T, Letisha N, Edwin, Isabel (change from formal clothes to MYF shirt just for the sketch and then change back again...wow =)), Nicholas W, Chen Yi, Glenn, narrator: Joel! The Alabaster Jar video: Glenn and not forgetting, the director, GLENN=). With such short practices, you guys did so well! Thanks for your effort and everything, I know it’s not easy to memorise your lines =)

Hash for sharing, I know how scared you were, but you did great! You manage to give a great testimony, I know your busy with so many things but you managed it=) Thanks so much!

Weng Yee for doing the MYF video =) it was grea t=) sorry u had to do it alone but great job=)

Mei-Xin, for your board and booth preparation, getting all the pictures, cutting the papers one by one, putting everything up, thumbs up =)

Regina for the designs you made...the name card and the shirt, thanks for your time and so creative minds =) sorry for the never ending bugging you XP but thanks a lot =)

Mum, aka Aunty Roslind, thanks for helping with the t-shirt and name card printers...couldn't have done it without you, thanks for helping me with my testimony thing, and with the feedbacks you gave, thanks for planning all the food for us to eat =)...and to all who prepared food, Thanks so much...it was yummmmmy =)

Uncle Choong Meng, for your help in mending the booth as well as your feedbacks, much appreciated =)

Gracie...........thanks so much for your hard work...I know you do a lot of behind the scene stuff and nobody knows it!....so here goes.....for first setting a date to talk to pastor, for working with church office for the bulletin, for your ever ready transport, for your time coming for meetings planning things out....for your communication to inform all the counsellors, even though you’re so busy! Thanks thanks thanks =)

For Grace Sentul, TRAC president and also Choy Quin, thanks for your support and thanks for coming for our MYF Sunday =)

Thanks Pastor Ricky, for your support in everything, believe it or not, he agreed and support all the way in every suggestion we had! so cool =)))

Thanks all MYFers, I know all of you played a part this Sunday. It was great to see all, every single one of you involved=) Don't matter your role, big or small, whether people notice or not, you were all important in God's eye, all of you had a part, and if anyone didn't do well in their role, MYF Sunday wouldn't have turned out so well... so once again, thank you all =)

Once again thanks Glenn for organising this whole MYF Sunday...Thanks thanks thanks =)

I thank God above all else for making the whole MYF Sunday run so smoothly, for making it all fall in place, and for using the Youths of our church to touch our congregation =) All glory to You =)

Oh one more thing, congrats to my committee, you are all now officially installed as committee =) continue to fire up for God!

Growth in Thought, Word and Deed

Mr. Peter spoke about the statement above revealing many interesting ideas throughout his entire sermon. “Growth in Thought, Word and Deed” combined together is actually Spiritual Growth. All of us Christians must grow spiritually and physically. We cannot grow without maintaining this balance, or we would be thrown of course of the path which God has set for each one of us.

Our earthly body can be divided into 3 sections, mainly the Spirit, Soul and Body. Spiritual aptitude, psychological aptitude and physical aptitude are all under these sections, they all play an important part during our walk on Earth.

Prompting Pull

Of God’s <<< Spirit <<< Mind <<< Will >>> Emotions >>> Human Nature >>> of the Spirit Lower Nature

While this diagram explains the battle of tug-of-war between the prompting of God’s Spirit and The lower nature. These forces pull against our spirit, mind, will, emotions and our sinful human nature. Conflicting, decisions, emotions, thoughts all play about all these areas. Whether we choose to follow God’s Spirit or the lower nature, that’s our choice. We MUST make the right decisions in our life, sometimes we are stuck in a sticky situation and are tempted to do wrong. Whatever the problem is… Remember the prompting of God’s Spirit. If you are still not sure or have doubts on your choice… Always PRAY… Prayer is your most powerful weapon in your fight against sin.

Mr. Peter also stressed on youth’s who think they are making the right decisions but to find out eventually that they were deceived by Satan to allow the Word of God to saturate their mind, so it will wash out thoughts which oppose the Scriptures. For the more you read the Word of God, the more you will be like Jesus for you have the Word of God hidden in your heart, and don’t just memorize the Scriptures, USE it in your daily life. Utilize it to the maximum. In doing this we shall reap the abundant life God wants us to have.

Lastly he concluded with a list of areas which the youth of today struggle with:

1. Self (Romans 6)
2. Dating (James 1:13-15)
3. Clothes (Philipians 4:19)
4. Money (Matthew 6:19-21)(Malachi 3:10-11)
5. Knowledge (Collosians 2:8)
6. Friends (Matthew 5:11-12)(1 Peter 3:10-14)
7. Music (Collosians 3:16-17)
8. Future (Hebrews 12:1-4)
9. Health (2 Timothy 2:3-4)
10. Reputation (1 Cor 8:4-13)(James 1:1-4)
11. Time (Romans 14:16-23)

That concludes Mr. Peter’s sermon for that day.
